The aim of the Society is to deliver the highest quality of care and provide support for patients with critical neurological illness in the Philippines, focusing on several key goals namely, quality patient care, professional collaboration, research, training and education, and advocacy. With these goals in mind, the PNCS seeks to create local programs to educate and empower healthcare professionals in maximizing the delivery of neurocritical care especially in far-flung areas where there is limited access to healthcare. Among the long-term goals of the organization is the development of local management guidelines that will allow standardization of care for the neurocritically ill even in hospitals with limited resources as well as the creation of networks that will allow the expedient and coordinated transfer of patients to tertiary hospitals where optimal care can be provided.

The PNCS is seeking candidates for directors to serve on the Board of Directors, with terms beginning on June 1, 2023. In line with this, as an active member of our organization, we would like to hear from you about whom you think will serve us best. The nomination period will be until May 17, 2023.

Following the closing date for nominations, the qualified nominee will be notified and requested to fill out another form with his or her curriculum vitae. In addition, the nominee will provide a brief verbal presentation of their qualifications for the role of director and their vision for the organization during the annual general meeting, which will be held virtually on May 24, 2023.
